Event Dates: 9/13/2024 - 9/15/2024

The Mendocino County Fair & Apple Show is returning to Boonville, California, from September 13-15, 2024. This beloved annual event, which began in 1924, continues to celebrate the rich agricultural heritage of Anderson Valley with a variety of attractions that appeal to all ages. Visitors can look forward to a classic county fair experience with a modern twist, featuring apple-themed exhibits, livestock shows, floral displays, and home-canned goods competitions. The fairgrounds will be alive with carnival rides, games, and a vibrant community spirit that captures the essence of Mendocino County.

A highlight of the fair is wine tasting in the Ag Building on Saturday September 14, where winners of the People’s Choice Mendocino Winegrowers blind tasting competition will pour their award-winning wines between 1:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The three-day fair kicks off on Friday, September 13, and runs daily from 9 AM to midnight. Each day is packed with activities, including the ever-popular rodeo, horse shows, and sheepdog trials. The event also features the California Wool & Fiber Festival, which highlights the region’s wool and fiber artisans. For those who enjoy a bit of competition, the fair offers various judging events, from apples to livestock, showcasing the best of local agriculture. The fair also hosts a parade and a range of live entertainment to keep the atmosphere lively throughout the weekend.

Families and visitors of all ages can enjoy the fair’s carnival, with unlimited ride wristbands available for purchase. Additionally, seniors aged 65 and over can take advantage of discounted entry on Friday, while children under 12 enjoy free admission that day.
